Broad participation process to secure the future of the eTeach network
The eTeach Network Thuringia entered a central phase of its further development this week at the start of the „Continuation“ working group. Representatives from all ten state universities came together to discuss the network's prospects from 2028 and to agree on a process that openly develops options and does not anticipate any preliminary decisions. During the meeting, it became clear that everyone expressly acknowledged the strengths and added value of the network and signaled their active involvement in developing a sustainable continuation strategy.
The working group is deliberately broad-based. In addition to university representatives, lecturers and representatives of the Communication Working Group are also involved in order to consider practical perspectives and the visibility of the results from the outset. Over the next two years, the working group will hold consultations and involve relevant stakeholders from university management, university didactics, examination and legal areas as well as teaching support institutions. Interim results are regularly fed back to the Strategy Council in order to prepare decisions at an early stage. This creates a resilient, participatory perspective that is intended to secure the eTeach network as a cross-university support structure for digital teaching in Thuringia in the long term.
