AI offers

Hardly any other topic is currently moving the university landscape more than artificial intelligence (AI). As a network in Thuringia that promotes media-enriched teaching and learning opportunities for all, we ask ourselves:

  • How can teachers use AI to prepare and deliver courses?
  • How do we teach students how to use AI tools responsibly?
  • What legal risks and creative opportunities does AI entail in the university context?

In order to support teachers in addressing these issues, we regularly offer AI further training, expert panels and compact learning content on the topic of AI on. With this diverse offering, we want to help you better understand and utilize the opportunities and challenges of AI in the university context.

AI offers at a glance

Open Model Lab

Large, mostly non-European providers of AI models process sensitive data and create user profiles at the prompt. This development presents universities with key challenges in terms of data protection, traceability and the long-term availability of AI technologies.

The Open Model Lab addresses this challenge with an open, locally operated LLM platform with low-threshold access to modern AI for experiments, teaching and research alike.
