talks@eTeach: Working collaboratively with AI

Working collaboratively with AI

KI@eTeach meets talks@eTeach

How can AI as a tool support collaboration in education?
In collaborative learning, students work together to develop a deeper understanding of the subject matter and strengthen their skills through mutual support.

On September 26, educational technologist Sophie Foster from Bauhaus University Weimar will be a guest at talks@eTeach and will provide insights into her research-based findings on the use of AI tools in collaborative work from 13:00 - 14:30. This event will explore the role of AI as a tool to support collaboration in education, focusing on different forms of collaborative learning, such as cooperative learning, team-based learning, group learning and peer learning. Participants will engage with practical examples using AI platforms already in use by the eTeach network. This will allow them to recognize how these tools can enhance collaboration, reflect together on their experiences and discuss the potential impact of using this software in their own teaching and learning contexts.

Learning objectives: At the end of this session, participants can:

  •  Recognize different forms of cooperation in educational institutions,
  • Identify AI tools that can improve collaboration between teachers and students,
  • Implement practical strategies using AI to enable effective collaboration.
  • recognize potential limitations and problems associated with AI in this area.
