The Master's seminar focuses on a mission design for autonomous systems (e.g. robots, probes) according to a given objective. Ideally, it is motivated by national\/international tenders or competitions, e.g. REXUS\/BEXUS of the DLR. The core is the project planning for the realisation of the system and the implementation of the mission. Working in interdisciplinary teams, the students develop a draft of the electromechanical structure of the system and a draft of the software architecture and check the realisation of the system. The students have to prepare, carry out and evaluate the mission - depending on the scope of the project, only in partial aspects. A makerspace is available to the students for the realisation of the project. The teams are free to decide when to use the makerspace; the seminar sessions are intended for presentations of the project ideas, interim results and solutions. The decisive factor is teamwork and finding solutions together.
