How can student teachers be supported in building up basic knowledge at the beginning of their studies?
The AI-supported chatbot ChatEX answers questions from prospective teacher candidates anonymously directly in the Moodle course and draws on the respective teaching materials so that learners can consolidate their knowledge in a low-threshold and individual way. In addition to brief explanations, ChatEX offers exam-related exercises with immediate feedback and thus facilitates targeted exam preparation. The bot will soon also be able to provide qualitative feedback on student answers.
On June 19, 2025, Felix Fahnroth from the Friedrich Schiller University Jena will present the first evaluation results and invites you to try out ChatEX live as a tool for exam simulation.
ChatEX is funded by the Thuringian Ministry of Education and the Stifterverband as part of the Fellowship Program for Digital University Teaching.
